Books cleanup and catch-up, handed back current

If you're behind on reconciliations, or inheriting books you don't trust, I clean up the history, correct the ledger and hand back a monthly close that stays current. I work in QuickBooks Online and Enterprise, and in Xero, NetSuite and Zoho Books.

What you get

A comparable rebuild

At Horizons International, a U.S./Lebanon NGO, I moved finance from spreadsheets to QuickBooks Enterprise with a full chart of accounts tracking donor, project and intercompany activity, set up a repeatable monthly close, and delivered two clean external audits.

How an engagement runs

  1. Intro Call. 20–30 minutes on your current stack, close timeline, and where the numbers stop being trustworthy. No charge, no pitch deck.
  2. Books & Systems Review. I go through the ledger, the chart of accounts, and the workflows, then send back a written findings note: what's broken, what it's costing you, what I'd fix first.
  3. Cleanup & Setup. Historical cleanup, reconciliations, COA redesign, and system implementation or migration — with your team trained on the result, not dependent on me for it.
  4. Monthly Close & Reporting. A predictable monthly close with financials your leadership can act on, plus automation that keeps manual work from creeping back in.

Working hours

Core hours 3 PM – 11 PM Cairo = 8 AM – 4 PM U.S. Eastern. A full U.S. business day of live overlap, every working day — not just a handoff window.

Questions

Is this a one-off project or ongoing?

Either. I take on one-off cleanups, monthly accounting retainers, or a full-time remote seat on your team.

Which accounting software do you clean up?

QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Enterprise and Desktop, Xero, Oracle NetSuite and Zoho Books.

Can you support an audit or work with our CPA after the cleanup?

Yes. I prepare audit-support schedules and coordinate documentation with external CPAs.

Tell me where the numbers stop being trustworthy. The first call is free and takes 20–30 minutes.
